MARIE SHORT, age 93 of Eaton, (Lakengren) Ohio died Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at Koester Pavilion in Troy, Ohio. Born on August 8, 1912 in Oak Hill, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Knight & Cora (Grant) McMillion. She retired in 1973 from the Dayton Credit Bureau. She was a 1932 Elkins High School graduate in Elkins, West Virginia; attended Davis & Elkins College; personal shopper for Rikes in Dayton; member of Sugar Valley United Methodist Church, Lakengren Garden Club and Mable Handley Circle at Sugar Valley United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by Husband: James C. Short in 1996, Sister: Ruth Endicott; Brothers: Ralph & Russell McMillion.

Survived by Daughter & Son-in-law: Susan L. & Harry G. Phillips, Vandalia, Ohio; Sisters-in-law: Marie Short and Irene McMillion, both of West Virginia; Grandson: Noel D. Phillips, Fishers, Indiana. Nieces & Nephews.

Funeral Service will be Monday, September 19, 2005 - 12:00 p.m. (Ohio Time) at the Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. George Copus officiating. Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Monday, September 19, 2005 - from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (Ohio Time) at the funeral home.
