Marie F. Overholser

Marie F. Overholser, 84, of Eldorado, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2007. She was born May 17, 1923 in West Alexandria, OH, the daughter of John & Elizabeth (Leedy) Ludy, and was a life long resident of Preble County. She and her husband Donald were farmers for many years. She later worked in various restaurants in the area, and then retired from the health care field in 1997. She was a member of the Prices Creek Church of the Brethren. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald (1996); 2 granddaughters, Lisa Oda Fede and Michelle Finn; and her sister, Helen Via.

Survivors include 2 sons, Jack and Peg (Swank) Overholser & John and Janet (Stayton) Overholser; 4 daughters, Linda and Marvin Finn, Fanny and Ed Leas, Carol and Larry Oda, and JoAnn Overholser; 12 grandchildren, Greg (Brenda) Finn, Michael Finn, Jeff Overholser, Jill (Kenny) Oda, Landon (Amy) Oda, Jenny (Tony) Walters, Amy Leas, Nanette Leas, Ryan (Julie) Mullins, Troy (Brittany) Casteel, R. Quentin Casteel, Clay Aikman; 11 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Norma Houdeshell.

The funeral service for Marie Overholser will be held Saturday, December 15th at 11:00AM at the Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, 311 N. Main St., Eldorado, OH, with Pastor Brian Delk officiating. Burial will follow at Wares Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call Friday, December 14th, 5:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
