Marguerite H. Gilbert

Marguerite H. Gilbert age 75, of New Paris, Ohio was laid to rest on Thursday, March 20, 2003 at her residence. Born on June 2, 1927 in London, Kentucky she was the daughter of the late Francis L. & Velia O. (Walden) Hart. She was a 1945 graduate of Hamilton High School and attended Anderson Beauty College in Richmond, Indiana. She worked as a beautician for 30 years in New Westville, Ohio. Member of Concord United Church of Christ where she leaves behind many dear friends. Preceded in death December 1983 by her Husband: H. Earl Gilbert whom she married in January 9, 1948.

Marguerite is survived by her Daughters & Son-In-Law: Earlene F. (Gilbert) & Ron Miller of Brookville, Ohio and Donna (Gilbert) Garcia of New Paris, Ohio. Granddaughters: Michele R. Snyder of Hawaii and Angela N. Noble and Fiancé Christopher Bort of West Milton, Ohio. Two Great-Grandsons: Corey J. Noble and Andrew C. Bort of West Milton, Ohio.

Funeral Service will be held on Monday - March 24, 2003 -10:00 A.M. at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Richard VanTine officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 23, 2003 from 3:00 - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
