Margaret M. Furrey

MARGARET M. FURREY, age 90, of Eaton, OH died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at her residence. Born on March 23, 1920 in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of Alois A. & Elizabeth C. (Liebrecht) Kastner. She was a 1938 graduate of Julianne High School in Dayton, She retired in 1974 from Parker Hannifin in Eaton after ten years of service, member of Visitation Catholic Church and Saint Ann's Sodality in Eaton. She was a volunteer for the Preble County Food Bank. She loved quilting, crocheting and crossword puzzles. Preceded in death by Husband: Joseph J. “Joe” Furrey in 1999; Son: Richard J. Furrey in 2009.

Survived by Sons & Daughters-in-law: Robert & Sheila Furrey, Sr; James Furrey and John & Pam Furrey all of Eaton, OH. Daughter: Rebecca Furrey, Eaton, OH; Daughter-in-law: Jennifer Furrey, Tipp City, OH; Brother: Richard J. (Irma) Kastner, Dayton, OH. Grandchildren: Lori & Scott Trunck; Robert Furrey Jr. & fiancée Shauna Hampton & Richard and Ronnie Wehrly and Lori & Josh Chapin. Great Grandchildren: Hunter & Hayden Trunck, Tiara Furrey, Robert A. Furrey, III, Ashley Hampton and Jackson Chapin. Many nieces and nephews. She was a devoted and loving Mother, Grandmother and Friend one who will be dearly missed by all.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, October 8, 2010 - 11:00 A.M. at Visitation Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Gratis, OH. Family will receive friends Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 4 to 7 P.M. and one hour prior to service at Barnes Funeral Home , 220 East Main St., Eaton, OH. Rosary service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday.
