MARCUS W. MORITZ, age 63 of Lewisburg, Ohio died Sunday, September 2, 2012 at his residence. Born on December 22, 1948 in Portsmouth, OH he was the son of the late Marcus M. & Betty Jean (Groves) Moritz. Marcus was a self-employed painter & wallpapering contractor. He was an active member of the Go Ministries Church in New Paris. He coached Pee Wee Football in Brookville, Ohio and was active with the Just Mares Square Dance Club.

Preceded in death by sister: Garnetta Louise Moritz in 1954; brother-in-law: Bill Kazee in 1993.

Survived by wife of 45 years: Mary J. (Vestal) Moritz; Sons & daughters-in-law: Mark W. & Cathy Moritz, Jr. of Brookville, OH and Andy G. & Lou Moritz of Arcanum, OH; brother: Mike (Kris) Moritz of Columbus, OH; sisters: Velma "Toots" Kazee and Brenda (Bob) Wise both of Columbus, OH; grandchildren: Ashley Moritz, Kalley Moritz and Rachel Hicks.

Funeral service will be held 12:00 PM Friday, September 7, 2012 at Go Ministries International Church – 5125 U.S. 40 West – New Paris, OH with Pastor Doug Townsend officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, OH. Family will receive friends on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the church.
