Marcella Eileen Paxson

Marcella Eileen Via-Paxson, age 93 of Gratis, OH, died Friday, April 18, 2014 in Knoxville, TN. Bon on September 1, 1920 in Lewisburg, OH, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Theodore Via and Bertha Naomi (Hapner) Via. She was a 1938 graduate of Lewisburg Union High School. She was a beautician from 1939 through 2001. She worked in Spoerline's in Dayton, OH from 1939 until 1956 and was self-employed from 1956 through 2001. She was a member of the Lion's Club, Farm Bureau and Club 18.

Marcella was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years: Eugene Miller Paxson. Sisters: Juanita (Via) Schlotterbeck and Janet (Rookstool) Longenecker; Brother: Keith Rookstool.

Survived by Sons & Daughters-in-laws: Gary Eugene Paxson, Eaton, OH, David Wayne & Trish Paxson, Knoxville, TN and Dennis Lee & Marie Paxson, Corona, CA; Brother-in-law: Earl Schlotterbeck, Lewisburg, OH; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Brent L. Cavendish officiating.
