Mae Stevens, age 89, of Richmond, IN, died Thursday, October 11, 2012 in Richmond, IN. Born on July 26, 1923 in Williford, Sharp County, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Janie (Wesley) Barnick.

Mae attended the First Church of the Nazarene in Richmond, IN.

Preceded in death by Husbands: Jessie T. Smith in 1970 and Arthur Sherman Stevens in 1998. Sister: Lena G. Leonard; Brother: James W. Barnick; Grandson: Brian McCollum in 1972.

Survived by Daughters & Son-in-law: Ola M. Simpson of Richmond, IN, Betty J. (Hubert) McCollum of Williamstown, Kentucky; 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, OH with Chaplain Jon Hudnall officiating. Interment will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Monday, one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Reid Hospital - 1100 Reid Parkway – Richmond, IN 47374.
