M. Pauletta Sweet

M. Pauletta Sweet, 93 of New Paris, Ohio, died Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Reid Health, Richmond. Born on November 3, 1927 in Loretto, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Pauline (Blanford) Thompson. Pauletta retired in 1991 from Thornburg’s Grocery in Richmond. She was a 1945 graduate from Jefferson Twp High School in New Paris, member of St. John Catholic church and St. Ann’s Alter Society in New Paris.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Husband of 70 years: William E. Sweet, Sr. in 2016; Sisters: Janet Sue Thompson in 1938 and Dorothy J. Eales in 2001. 

Survived by her Sons & Daughter-in-law: Steve Sweet, William E. & Jane Sweet, Jr.; Sister: Madline Haller; Grandchildren, Cory & Sherry Sweet, Aron & Jessi Sweet, Garrick & Dawn Sweet, and Megan & Mark Lutz; 10 Great Grandchildren; Special Nieces: Stacy Lipps, Cathy Suggs, Jocelyn Ross and Cindy Ruiz and Nephew: Richard Cook. 

A Private Memorial Mass was held at the convenience of the family. Inurnment was in Spring Lawn Cemetery, New Paris.
