M. Elizabeth Unger

M. Elizabeth Unger, age 84 formerly of Lewisburg, Ohio, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Kettering Medical Center in Kettering, OH. Born on December 13, 1925 in Preble County, OH she was the daughter of the late Willard & Edith (Christman) Young. Elizabeth was the head cook at Lewisburg Schools for 25 years retiring in 1981. She currently lived in Dayton, OH and formerly in Lewisburg and Eaton, OH. Member of the Lewisburg First United Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years: Owen S. Unger in 2000.

She is survived by her daughters & sons-in-law: Margaret & Larry Smith of Centerville, OH and Rebecca & Gary Grant of Elizabethtown, KY; Grandsons: Rick Smith, Jon (Mary) Grant and Tom Grant; Great Grandchildren: Andrew Grant, Elizabeth Grant and Maddox Grant.

Funeral Service will be 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Home – 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio 45338 with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Sugar Grove Cemetery near West Alexandria, OH.
