Luther Archer

Luther Archer, 82 of Lewisburg, OH, died Friday, April 26, 2019 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, OH. Born on July 21, 1936 in Campbell County, TN, he was the son of the late Clarence and Evelyn (Richardson) Archer. Luther was a retired machine operator for Mid-State Corporation and was an active member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife, Matilda L. (Springer) Archer; brothers, O’Dell and James Archer; sisters, Cora Reindel, Charlotte Adcock and Joyce Norton.   

He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Gardner and Terri J. McKown; brother, Marvin Archer; grandchildren, Angel (Ryan) Shiverdecker, Tabitha McKown, Billie (Chad) Hoops, Michael Gardner II and Jackie Shannon; 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH with Elder James Burns officiating. Interment will be held in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens near Brookville, OH. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
