Lucille Atkins

Lucille (Ellis) Atkins 80 of New Paris, OH, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Rosebud Village in Richmond, IN. Born on July 4, 1936 in Mount Vernon, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late Ben & Nettie (MacConkey) Ellis. Lucille attended the First Baptist Church in New Paris.

Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years James R. Atkins in March 2017; sisters: Rose Lee, Cecil Stevens and Ocie Moses; brothers: Carl Ellis, Earl Ellis, Starlin Ellis, Harvey Ellis and Leland Ellis.

Survived by sons: William R. & (Liz) Atkins of Eaton, OH; Rodney Atkins of New Paris, OH and Gerald Ben (Mary) Atkins of Muncie, IN; Daughter: Deborah Flora of Gaston, IN; Sister: Ruby Gregory of Tennessee; Brother: Marlin Ellis of Tennessee; 7 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M Thursday May 11, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main St., New Paris, OH. A graveside service will be 11:00 AM at Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, OH with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating.
