Loy E. Johnson

LOY E. JOHNSON, age 85, formerly of Eaton, Ohio, died Wednesday November 30, 2005 at the Friends Fellowship Community in Richmond, Indiana. Born on April 28, 1920 in Webster, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late William Rexford and Abbie (Wissler) Jarrett. She was a 1938 graduate of Centerville (Indiana) High School and a 1963 graduate of Miami University at Oxford, Ohio with a Bachelor of Education degree. She retired in 1982 having taught in the sixth grade at Eaton City School and Preble Shawnee School districts. Member of the West Elkton Friends Church. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Olin and Lester Jarrett and sister: Wilma Long.

Survived by her husband of 61 years: Phil R. Johnson; son: Paul Grant Johnson of Eaton, Ohio; daughters & sons-in-law: Karen L. and George E. Wehrley of Columbus, Ohio and Kathy E. Johnson and husband Brian Condran of Martinez, California; sisters and brothers-in-law: Rexeen Catron of Centerville, Indiana, Sylvia and Mike Long of Hagerstown, Indiana, Selma and Jack McGriff and Ila and Kenneth Lewis all of Arizona. Grandchildren: Rachel and her husband Steve Osmun, Joshua Johnson, Jamie Lee Johnson and James Sherwood. Nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday December 8, 2005 in the community room at Friends Fellowship Community - 2030 Chester Blvd. - Richmond, Indiana 47374 with Maureen McCarthy and Joanna Schofield officiating. Interment will be held in Crown Hill Cemetery, Centerville, Indiana at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Elkton Friends Church, P.O.
