Louis S. Whitesell

LOUIS S. WHITESELL, 95, of Eaton, Ohio, died Saturday, September 12, 2009 in Richmond, IN. Born on February 17, 1914 in Israel Twp., Preble County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Clarence Edgar & Jennie (Laird) Whitesell. He was a retired Israel Twp. farmer and was a charter member of #4 Farm Bureau Discussion Group. He was a 1933 Dixon High School graduate and had worked at Miami University in Oxford for 10 ½ years, retiring in 1980. Member of the Sugar Valley United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by a Son-in-law: Robert L. Petro in 2002, grandson: Robert Junior Petro in 1983.


Survived by his wife of 73 years: Lillian E. (Lindsey) Whitesell; Daughter: Mary L. Petro, Sons: Robert L. (Beulah) Whitesell and Donald L. (Helen) Whitesell, all of Camden, OH; Brother: Clifford K. Whitesell, Eaton, OH; 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at the First Southern Baptist Church, 35 N. Liberty Street, Camden, OH with Rev. George R. Copus and Rev. Greg F. Jackson officiating. Interment will be held in College Corner Cemetery, West College Corner, Indiana. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the church.
