Lois V. Brown

LOIS V. BROWN, age 93 of Eaton, OH died Friday, April 8, 2016 in Saint Petersburg, FL. Born on July 13, 1922 in Carrollton, MO, she was the daughter of the late Julius E. & Harriett (Wiseman) Smith.

Lois retired in 1988 after 22 years as a Teacher for Eaton City Schools. A 1940 graduate of Carrollton High School and earned her Masters' Degree from Miami University in 1973. She has been a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Eaton since 1945, where she taught Sunday School class and Bible School. She served a term on the Session (Christian Education Committee) and a member of the Koininea Hannah Circle. She loved to travel, read, walk, dance, cook, sew, knit and crochet. Lois was a member of College Club and two bridge groups.

Preceded in death by her Husband Keith E. Brown in 1985; Sister: Mildred S. Robison; Brothers: Dale L. & Carl E. Smith.

Survivors include Son: Stephen K. (Vicki) Brown, Eaton, OH; Daughters: Gail A. (Jerry) Knight, North Redington Beach, FL, Cindy S. (Sam) Kinner, Eaton, OH and Dr. Jill A. (Kurt Hartman) Brown, Grove City, OH. 7 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main St., Eaton, OH with Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery, Eaton. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
