Lloyd L. Shively, age 98 of Englewood, Ohio, former lifelong resident of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in Englewood. Born on February 9, 1925 in Richmond, Indiana, he was the son of the late Henry Harrison & Lena (Miller) Shively.
Lloyd retired from Delco Products in Dayton after more than 30 years of service. Lloyd had attended Lewisburg schools but graduated from Arcanum High School in 1943. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a member of the Lewisburg Promenaders, Twin Valley Grange, Methodist NOMADS, First United Church of Christ in Lewisburg, Delco Products Foreman’s Club and Retirees Club. He loved woodworking and home renovations. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great and great great grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Siblings: Eva Marie Peak, Ralph W. Shively and Harley V. Shively; Daughter-in-law: Patricia Lynn (Breakfield) Shively; Granddaughter: Lezlie M. Shively.
Survived by his Wife of 76 years: Glenna M. (Pease) Shively; Children: David L. (Janet Ricketts) Shively, Dale (Susan) Shively, Robert (Lynn) Shively, Barbara (John) Hellard and Ray (Lori) Shively. 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Nieces, Nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the First United Church of Christ, 400 North Main Street, Lewisburg, with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg with military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the church.
