Lloyd Miller Aukerman, Passed away on August 11, 2014, at the age of 93. He was born January 12, 1921 in Eaton, Ohio, the third son of George and Bertha Miller Aukerman. He attended Eaton Schools and graduated from Tucson High School in Arizona in 1938. During World War II, he was an aircraft mechanic, hydraulic specialist, crew chief, and flight engineer at Patterson Field (Wright Patterson AFB) in Dayton, Ohio. Following that, he operated his own auto repair shop and taught auto mechanics there to students sent to him from the JVS (Joint Vocational School). He later became a new and used car dealer for several automobile manufacturers including Kaiser-Frazer, Willys Jeep, Studebaker Packard in the Miami Valley area, and finally Ford Motor Company in Eaton, Ohio. His dealership became known as the "Ford Corner." He was a gifted diagnostician and innovator of all things automotive and mechanical. He was a problem-solver in all areas of his life both personally and in business; happiest when tackling challenging projects and especially enjoyed helping others in their lives. Lloyd was a devout Christian and family man for 71 years in a loving marriage to Susannah Ehler. Affectionately known by his family as "Pappaw," he was a talented, loving, and witty man who was an incredible husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. He was a charter member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Wellington, Florida, and close to his home church in Ohio.
He was preceded by brothers, Clarence and Ralph Aukerman and half-sisters, Woneda Smith and Vashti Kabler.
Surviving him is his wife Susannah, his daughters, Barbara Aukerman and Jane Fagan (Roger), his grandsons, Bradley Thomas Fagan (Amy Mielke) and David Lloyd Fagan (fiancée Christina Aldrich), his great-granddaughters, Brooklyn Ellen and Adeline Susannah, nieces Patricia (Ehler) Nightingale, Karen L.
