Linda Sue Nolte

LINDA SUE "SUSIE" (MENDENHALL)NOLTE, age 60, of Anderson, Indiana and formerly of New Paris, Ohio, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born on January 16, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late George "Bud" and Margaret (Crawford) Mendenhall. She was a 1967 graduate of Jefferson High School in New Paris and a 1968 graduate of Anderson Cosmetology School in Richmond, Indiana. She owned and operated her own hair salon for many years in the Richmond area before moving to Houston, Texas and later returning to the Indianapolis and Anderson area. She worked as an office manager for ATC Associates in Indianapolis for 20 years. Susie was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and niece who loved to spend time with her family. She is preceded in death by her brother, Benny Gene Mendenhall.

Susie is survived by her husband of 40 years, David Nolte; children & spouses, Melissa Anne Trownsell of West Lafayette, Indiana, David Bryan & Lyn Nolte of Brownsburg, Indiana and Nicol Katrin & Jay Marks of Union Mills, Indiana; brothers, Howard "Butch" Mendenhall, Harold "Peewee" Mendenhall both of Richmond, Indiana and Gary Lee Mendenhall of Hollansburg, Ohio; special aunts, Betty Crawford and Alta Mae Michaelson both of The Villages, Florida; grandchildren, Andrew Nolte, Katrin Marks, Abigail Trownsell and Elizabeth & William Nolte; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Barnes Funeral Home-109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
