LINDA L. (NEWTON) BANKS, age 62, of Somerville, OH, died Friday, December 31, 2010 at McCullough Hyde Hospital in Oxford. Born on March 22, 1948 in Butler County, OH, daughter of Cleven & Angeline R. (Borreggine) Newton. Linda worked for Miami University in Kitchen Maintenance & House Keeping for many years. Member of the Liberty Baptist Church in Camden, OH.

Preceded in death by mother, Angeline R. Newton in 2005.

Survived by father, Cleven Newton of Somerville, OH; daughters, Fay Lamp of Callahan, FL, Roxanna Banks of Camden, OH, Linda L. Marcum of Mississippi, and Ula Banks of Fort Wayne, IN; sons, Leon (Carolyn) Banks of Jacksonville, FL and Roy C. Banks, Jr. of Chattahoochee, FL; uncle, Chester (Carol) Newton of Somerville, OH; cousin, Darrell Newton of Somerville, OH; brother, Leon Newton of Kentucky; sisters, Stella Reece of Wellington, FL, Shirley (Hugh) Jones of Upper Sandusky, OH, Rita (Carl) Anderson of Camden, OH, and Debbie (Phillip) Morris of Arkansas; grandchildren, Anthony, Jessica, Kenneth, Tiffany, Brian, Clarissa, Phillip, Kevin, Brandon, Trent, Jonathon, and Chaz; great grandchild, Kaleb; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Nein – Barnes Funeral Home, 249 N. Main St., Camden, OH with Rev. Richard Huff officiating.
