Linda Kay Strayer

Linda K. Strayer (Maloon), 80 of Verona, passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 22, 1940 in Union City, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles Richard Maloon & Dorothy E. (Barley) Holden. Linda retired from Fram in Greenville after 23 years.  She was an avid supporter and sports enthusiast and held the strength, and relationships, of family above all. She faithfully attended her children's, grandchildren’s, and great grandchildren's sporting events, and enjoyed her favorite teams; Buckeyes, Reds, Cubs, Browns, Flyer and Bearcat Basketball, as well as many others. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Sister: Susan Voiles and Stepfather: John Holden.  

Survived by her Husband of 56 years: Jan R. Strayer; Children: Jim Strayer, Amy Strayer, Rich Strayer and Mandy & Tony Scott; Sister: Rebecca J. Bennett; Grandchildren: Jaimee (Ian) and her mother Jill Graves, Justin (Erin), Brittany (Paul), Katie (Dylan), Jenna, Jacob and Braiden; Great-Grandchildren: Cora, Adalynne, Carl, Dallas, Liam, Henry and Azalynne. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. 

Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with Pastor Tim Martin officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. prior to service. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you are required to wear a facemask prior to entering the funeral home and practice social distancing.
