Linda L. Johnson

Linda L. (Braughton) Johnson, age 76, of New Paris, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at her residence. Linda was born on October 23, 1948 in Jefferson Township, Preble Co., Ohio, daughter of the late Henry & Lucille (Cowgill) Braughton.

Linda had worked at the Red Front in New Paris, Ohio for many years before retirement and was also a school bus driver for National Trail Schools for over 30 years.

Member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Post 360 in New Paris, Ohio.

Preceded by her daughter, Tammy Lucille Johnson in 2007; great grandson, Leyden Guenther in 2015; brothers, Gary Lee Braughton in 1998, Robert Leroy Braughton in 2002, William Henry Braughton in 2011, Hershel Thomas Braughton in 2020; sister, Verna J. Arden in 2024.

Survived by children, Lisa Guenther, Robbie & Dee Johnson, and Chad & Jennifer Johnson; sister, Joann Moore; 14 grandchildren, Anthony, Kobey, Jalisa, Kaleb, Ben, Mallory, Allyson, Kendyl, Krystle, John, Travis, Brayden, Jared and Kaylie; 23 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main St., New Paris, OH with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating. Interment will be held at Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. prior to the service on Wednesday. Condolences via www.barnesfuneralhome.com
