Linda Dorene Nugent Baker

Linda Dorene Nugent Baker, 69 of New Paris, Ohio, died, Sunday, August 16, 2020 at her residence. Born on March 15, 1951 in Greenville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clarence J. “Sam” Wilker and Temple Wretha (Hayes) Emerick. Linda had worked at Tudor’s Service Station where she met and had many loving friends. She loved to go fishing, mushroom hunting and loved her family and friends. Member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Richmond. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by step-mother: Nova Wilker; step-father: Ed Emerick; brothers: Sam Wilker, II and Bobby Wilker. 

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert (Niki) Nugent, Joseph (Rosemary) Nugent and Jason Nugent; former husband and caregiver: Dennis Nugent; brothers: Arthur, Dewayne, Edward II and Mike Emerick; Grandchildren: Wade (Jessica) Nugent, Kerestin (Kaitlyn Crutcher) Nugent, Derek Nugent, Gunner Nugent, Zack (Amanda) Guess, Andrew Guess, Mallory Nugent, Ethan Nugent and Aaron Nugent; Great Grandchildren: Amaya Nugent, Raven Guess, Phoenix Guess, Logan Grubbs and Arianna Guess. Many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Dr. Daniel L. Nugent officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home. Due to the current health concerns, a facemask is required if you will be attending the calling or service.
