Leonard V. Morgan, 89, of New Paris, Ohio, died Thursday, July 14, 2022, at his residence. Born on November 16, 1932, in Jefferson Township, Preble County, Ohio, he was the son of the late William H. & Gladys E. (Shock) Morgan. Leonard served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad in Richmond, Indiana, retiring after 35 years. He was a member of Fellowship Lodge #106 of New Paris, Eastern Star - Chapter 563 of New Paris, American Legion Post # 360 of New Paris, and the Preble County Farm Bureau. Leonard loved fishing, horses, mowing grass and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in New Paris for many years and later became a member of First United Methodist Church in Richmond, Indiana.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Wife of 65 years Geraldine E. “Gerri” Morgan on July 31, 2021; Sister: Martha Lou Morgan Eikenbery in 2021; Infant Brother; Brother-in-law: Larry B. “Jake” Eikenbery in 2011; Granddaughter: Macie Sue Morgan in 1996; Grandson: Kevin Ball in 2021.

Survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Bill (Peggy) Morgan; Lenny (Hollie) Morgan, and Rob (Bonnie) Morgan; Grandchildren: Michael Morgan, Elysia (PJ) Terrill, Geralyn (Josh) Gray, Natalie (Stephen Crowell) Morgan, Leonard (Dawn Richardson) Morgan, III as well as 10 great Grandchildren and one due later this month. nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.

Private Funeral Service will be held at the convenience of the family with Pastor Rodney Dunn officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Preble County Honor Guard with interment in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris.
