Leonard Eugene Overholser

Leonard E. Overholser, 90, of Eaton, OH, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Dayton VA Hospice Unit. Born on September 11, 1927 in Jefferson Twp., Preble County, OH. He was the son of the late Everett A. & Helen S. (Stephen) Overholser. He was a 1945 graduate of Miamisburg High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1946 to 1948. He was involved with Overholser Trucking in Preble County, a Miami Dade County Fireman and was a Line Supervisor for GM in Dayton. 

Preceded in death by Grandchild: Christopher Neff; Siblings: Carl Everett Overholser, Catherine Helen Overholser, Margaret H. Hicks, Howard L. Overholser and Reed I. Overholser; Mother of his children: Bernice Overholser. 

Survived by his children: Leonard E. Overholser, Dolores A. (Pat) Mathes and Carl D. (Sondra K.) Overholser; Sisters: Clara Hutchins and Ruth Thomas; 4 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, Nieces & Nephews. 

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Kevin Williamson officiating. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 10:30 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH with Military honors by the Preble County Honor Guard.
