Lee Alan Cross

Lee Alan Cross, 76 of Eaton, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at his residence. Born on September 23, 1934 in Flint, Michigan, he was the son of the late Ray R. & Pauline L. (Ziegle) Cross. Lee received his Ph D. in Physics from the University of Michigan. Lee retired in 1985 after many years as a Physicist and Professor at Western Illinois University and University of Dayton. Lee owned and operated Special Illumination Systems in Dayton, Ohio which specialized in camera development. Lee proudly served in the US Army from 1958 to 1960 as an Army Physicist.

Survivors include his wife, Mary P. Cross of Eaton, Ohio; children & spouses, Rebecca (Mitchel) Ketchum of Clear Lake, Texas, Timothy (Terry) Cross of West Manchester, Ohio, and Elisa (Steven) Cross of Woodbury, Minnesota; sister, Luanna (Roy) LaFavour of Michigan; grandchildren, Kelly Ann Ketchum, Scott Addington, and Sean Addington; numerous cousins, niece, nephew, and friends.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton, Ohio at the convenience of the family at a later date.
