Laura Jane Martz

LAURA JANE MARTZ, 87, of Eaton, OH, died Thursday, October 8, 2009 in Eaton. Born on May 5, 1922 in Dayton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Robert S. & Willodene E. (Parrish) Fisher. She was a 1940 graduate of Eaton High School and attended Miami Jacobs College in Dayton and Miami University in Oxford, OH. Laura and Gerald C. Martz were married May 19, 1946. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Eaton, an honorary member of Omicron Sigma Sorority and was a talented artist, seamstress, crafter and gardener who enjoyed reading and spending time with her family and friends.

Survived by her Husband of 63 years, Gerald C. Martz; Daughters & Son-in-law: Jill Martz, Dayton, OH, Pam (Chuck) Hester, Eaton, OH; Grandchildren: Thomas C. (Katie) Hester, West Alexandria, OH, Emily J. (Steve) Philips, Fishers, IN, Robert L. Hester & fiancee, Amber Jarvis and her daughter Hayley, Eaton, OH, Michelle Hurst of VA; Great Granddaughter: Madeline Jane Philips, Fishers, IN; Brother & Sister-in-law: Richard W. & Marge Fisher, Dayton, OH; nieces and nephews.

A Private Service will be held at the convenience of the family in Mound Hill Union Cemetery with Rev. Steve Cann officiating.
