Kathryn E. Flory

Kathryn E. Flory, 96, of Lewisburg, Ohio, died Monday, October 24, 2016 at Brookhaven Nursing Center in Brookville, Ohio. Born on March 7, 1920 in Montgomery County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Nevin T. and Grace Mae (Fuller) Bunger. A devoted caregiver to many, Kathryn was a Room Mother for Lewisburg Union Schools, an avid gardener, quilter and loved to crochet. She also donated many pies, cakes and fudge to help raise funds for the Lewisburg Fire Department. Preceded in death by her husband of 54 years. Alden Dale Flory in 1995; daughter, Linda K. Jones in 2004; step great grandson, Christopher Jones; sisters, Evelyn Bunger, Helen Nuse, Patricia Nicholas and Betty Fitzwater; brothers, Nevin Jr., Robert, William, Donald, Roland and James Bunger.

Survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Gail J. and Frank Medders, Jackie L. Keener and Tammy L. and Donald Bowers; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael T. Flory and Alan D. and Lisa Flory; sister, Pauline Wilson; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. David O. Justis officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, Ohio.
