June S. Peters

JUNE S. PETERS, age 92, of Brookville, Ohio and formerly of Eaton, died Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton. Born on January 19, 1914 in Eaton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Harry M. & Mary E. (Galloway) Stephens. She was a 1931 Eaton High School graduate and a 1935 graduate of Miami University in Oxford where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She taught art at Dixon School and was in the accounting department for the Eaton Water Works. She was Co-Owner and operator of the Brookville Flower Shop where she worked for 15 years retiring in 1970. In addition to the Eaton and Brookville areas June and her husband Lester also made Centerville, Ohio their home.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years: Lester W. Peters of Brookville; daughters & sons-in-law: Carol L. & Norman Cail of Longmont, Colorado and Julie A. & Stephen Kleinhen of Eaton; Three Grandchildren: Crystal (Rob) Taulbee, Matthew (April) Cail and Todd (Michelle) Cail and Four Great Grandchildren: Zachary and Mikaela Cail, Jacob & Eli Taulbee; sisters: Hilda Stout of Saint Marys, Ohio and Doris Mettert Tillson of Richmond, Indiana and brother: Jack Stephens of Storrs, Connecticut.

A Private gathering will be held at the convenience of the family.
