JULIA E. NOE, age 88, of New Paris, Ohio, died Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Born on January 18, 1916 in Richmond, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Edgar & Donna Beatrice (Fletcher) Diggs. She retired in 1981 after 25 years with the U.S. Postal Service in New Paris. In 1977 she organized the New Paris Meals on Wheels. Her ministry was to the neighbors & friends who needed help. Member of the Central United Methodist Church in Richmond and Richmond Bible Study Fellowship for 18 years. Preceded in death by Husband: Harry Noe in 1977; Sisters: Laverne DeBoo in 1963, Doris Irene Moss in 1970; Brothers: Melvin E. Diggs in 1990, John Albert Diggs in 1998 and Son-in-law: Paul Jurgens in 2001.
Survivors: Son & Daughter-in-law: Charles E. & Kathy S. Noe, Columbus, Ohio; Daughter: Donna L. Jurgens, New Paris, Ohio; Sister-in-law: Christine Diggs, New Paris, Ohio; Brother-in-law: Paul DeBoo, New Paris, Ohio; 8 Grandchildren: Jeffrey (Terre) Noe, Paula Jurgens, Paul (Kris) Jurgens II, Douglas (Alexa) Noe, Julie (Brian) Simpson, Alan (Cris) Jurgens, Tracie Mathieu and Victoria Souder; 14 Great Grandchildren: Jonathon & Jennifer Noe, Brianne, Joseph, and Kaylee Simpson, Katisha, Karista, Joshua, Jenna, Steven, Corey Jurgens, Stephanie Campbell, Vanessa and Dalton Souder. Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral service will be held Monday, September 20, 2004 - 11:00 A.M. (Ohio Time) at Central United Methodist Church - 1425 East Main Street - Richmond, Indiana with Pastor Scott Bell officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 19, 2004 from 5 - 8 P.M. (Ohio Time) at the Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio.
