Julia Ann Ferriell

JULIA ANN FERRIELL, 90, of Eaton, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Heartland of Eaton. She was born on June 6, 1919 in Preble County, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Daniel C. and Caroline (Hochwalt) Horrigan. Julia was a graduate of Jefferson Township High School and was a licensed cosmetologist since 1943. During WW II she worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She was a founding member of the Club 18 in Eaton, an auxiliary member of the American Legion Post 215 in Eaton; the St. Anne's Sodality and the Visitation Catholic Church both in Eaton. In addition to her parents, Julia is preceded in death by her son, Richard Ferriell; sisters, Mary E. Horrigan, Florence White and Ruth Lee McGowan; brother, Paul D. Horrigan.

Julia is survived by her husband of 42 years, Alton Bernard Ferriell; sons, William J. Ferriell of Duncansville, Pennsylvania, John B. Ferriell of Huber Heights, Ohio and Peter P. (Linda) Ferriell of Eaton; daughter, Ann (John) Esposito of Rochester, New York; brother, Daniel E. Horrigan of Eaton; grandchildren, Megan Ferriell, Daniel Ferriell, Jason Esposito, Nicholas Esposito and Adrienne Esposito; nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Visitation Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320 with Father J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio. Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
