Joyce J "Snoz" Hemmerich

JOYCE J "SNOZ" HEMMERICH, age 79, of Verona, OH, died Tuesday, November 23, 2004 in Verona, OH. Born on January 10, 1925 in Arcanum, OH, he was the son of the late Harry Michael & Daisy Ethel (Small) Hemmerich. He served in the U.S. Marines during WWII; Member of the Knights of Pythias in Verona; he enjoyed fishing and hunting; He retired from Inland division of General Motors in 1977 after 30 years of service.

Preceded in death by a son: Daryl D. Hemmerich in 1977; Daughter-in-law: Connie Hemmerich in 2003; Grandsons: Garrett & Gabriel Izor; Great granddaughter: Amber Kizer; Brothers: Don & John Hemmerich; Sister: Olis Surber.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Juanita Jean (Detro) Hemmerich. Sons and daughters-in-law: Alfred D & Judy Hemmerich of Vilonia, AK, Jack M & Carol Hemmerich of Dayton, OH, Jerry J Hemmerich of Shelburn, IN. Daughters and sons-in-law: Sheila D. & Randy Izor of New Lebanon, OH, Shirley C. & Chris McGriff of Lewisburg, OH. Brothers and sister-in-law: Ronny Hemmerich of CA, Elmo & Dorothy Hemmerich of Lewisburg, OH. Twelve grandchildren, Eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 27, 2004 at Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce street - Lewisburg, OH with Rev. Bill Walk officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday, November 26, 2004 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Roselawn cemetery in Lewisburg, OH with full military graveside honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
