Joyce Ann Shaeffer

Joyce Ann (Eby) Shaeffer, age 74, of Lewisburg, OH, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at her residence. Born on April 21, 1938 in Lewisburg, OH, she was the daughter of the late Oscar J. & Hazel L. (Shell) Eby. Joyce had worked at the Village Clothing Shop in Lewisburg and also worked at Lewisburg Container where she was a secretary. She was a successful and dedicated farmer. Member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lewisburg where she served in many capacities having served as a co-chair for the 800, 000.00 building addition campaign, Red Hat Society and former Queen and a Twin Valley North graduate. Very dear to her heart was L & M and MRDD programs, where she had passed served as a board member.

Preceded in death by Husband of 57 years, Paul F. "Frank" Shaeffer on June 17, 2012; Brother: Teddy "Ted" Eby in 2005.

Survived by Children: Paul James Shaeffer and Allen E. Shaeffer, both of Lewisburg, OH; Deborah Ann (Kevin) Gardner, Canton, GA, Diana L. (Lyle) Graham, Jefferson, OH; Michael E. (Debbie) Shaeffer, New Paris, OH; Sister-In-Laws: Mary Jane (David) Sheets, Richmond, IN, Elizabeth Ann (Dennis) Shumaker, West Manchester, OH. 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 511 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH with Rev. Brent L. Cavendish officiating. Interment will be held in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 5 – 8 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH and one hour prior to service at the church.
