Josephine Imes Harris

JOSEPHINE HARRIS, 80, of Lewisburg, OH died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at her home in Lewisburg. Born on February 11, 1929 at Brookville, OH, she was the daughter of the late Willis E. & Effie A. (Putterbaugh) Wogoman. She retired in 1982 from Ohio Plate Glass, member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Lewisburg and the Lewisburg Young at Hearts.

Preceded in death by her first husband, Everett P. Imes in 1974; Step daughter, Marilyn Dempsey in 2007; Stepson, Robert L. Harris, Jr in 1998; Brothers, Russell Wogoman in 1993, Ralph Wogoman in 1995 and Robert Wogoman in 1991.

Survived by her husband of 34 years, Robert L. Harris , Sr; son and daughter-in-law, Paul & Pam Imes of Caseyville, IL; daughters and son-in-law, Janet Turvene of Greenville, OH and Karen & Darrell Vest of Springboro, OH; step daughter & step son-in-law, Patricia & Robert Nieman of Maynardsville, TN; step son-in-law: James Dempsey of Lewisburg, OH; step daughter-in-law, Cathy Harris of Lewisburg, OH;. sister, June Edgington of Ft. Myers, FL; 25 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH with Rev Brent L. Cavendish officiating. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery near West Alexandria, OH. Family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
