Joseph Mike Schnitzius

Joseph “Mike” Schnitzius, age 60 of New Paris, Ohio, died Monday, August 6, 2007. Born on October 25, 1946 in Richmond, IN he was the son of late Richard & Alma (Dillow) Schnitzius. Mike was a 1966 Richmond High School graduate and was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Henny Penny Corporation in Eaton for the past 18 years.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years: Helen (Stevens) Schnitzius; Daughter: Carol Schnitzius of Richmond, In and Son: Jamie Schnitzius of Richmond, IN. Step-sons: Steve (Melinda) Mays and Mike Thompson of Coal Grove, OH. Step Daughters: Penny (Jerry) Miller of New Paris, OH, Pam (Glenn) McKenzie of West Elkton, OH and Sharon (Larry) Brooks of Richmond, IN.; Sister: Rebecca Brandenberg of Florida and Aunt Katheryn Gregory of Lucusville, OH; Several grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 am Friday, August 10, 2007 at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Steve Whalen officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on on Thursday, August 9, 2007 from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
