Joseph A. Reke, Jr.

JOSEPH A. REKE, JR., age 67 of Port Clinton, Ohio and Eaton, Ohio died, Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo, Ohio due to injuries sustained in an auto accident. Born on December 30, 1939 in Dayton, Ohio he was the son of the late Joseph Anthony & Dawn Elton (Hollman) Reke, Sr. He was a 1959 Dayton-Chaminade High School graduate and was the owner and operator of the J.A. Reke & Sons Pavement Marking, Inc. which was founded by his late father. He was a private pilot who loved to fly and he was an avid OSU fan. He is preceded in death by his father: Joseph A. Reke, Sr. in 2001 and his mother: Dawn E. Reke who died on August 6, 2007.

He is survived by the mother of his children: Diane M. Reke of Dayton, Ohio; his sons & daughter-in-law: Joseph A. & Lisa D. Reke III of Eaton and Paul T. Reke of Englewood, Ohio; Daughter: Joyce A. Reke of Eaton; Brothers & sister-in-law: Thomas J. Reke of Akron, Ohio and Daniel R. & Marcia Reke of Troy, Ohio; Sisters & brothers-in-law: Rita M. & Frank Ehase of Logansport, Indiana and Linda K. & William Halsey of Brookville, Ohio; Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; Nieces and nephews.

A private service for the family and the scattering of cremains will be held at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 10, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Barnes Funeral Home- 220 East Main St. -Eaton, Ohio 45320.
