Joseph A. Davidson

JOSEPH A. “SPARKY” DAVIDSON, age 68, of Eaton, Ohio passed Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton, Ohio. Born on January 30, 1939 in Lewisburg, Ohio, he was the son of the late Richard H. & Helen C. (Beagle) Davidson. He graduated in 1957 from Lewisburg Union High School. Joseph was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a licensed pilot and loved to fly for many years. He retired in 2004 from General Motors - Delphi in Dayton, Ohio after working as an electrical engineer for 41 years. Member of the F.O.E. of Eaton, Ohio and the Eaton County Club for many years. Everyone that knew Joe loved him dearly.

Survived by wife, Lelia Davidson of Eaton, Ohio; children & spouses, Jason of Eaton, Ohio, Jack A. & Stephanie Gallagher of Anderson, Indiana, Garland P. Rivers, Maureen F. Rivers and Travis W. Rivers; grandchildren, Jackson Gallagher and Jillian Gallagher; brother & sister-in-law, John & Brenda Davidson of Lewisburg, Ohio; many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007 at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Renee Ruble officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Twin Township, West Alexandria, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
