John W. Myers, Sr.

JOHN W. MYERS, SR, 92 of Liberty, IN, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at his residence. Born on February 27, 1918 in Grassy Lick, Bourbon County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Charlie Banks and Amanda (McCloud) Myers. He was a WWII Army veteran and was a retired Boilermaker and Welder for the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Lodge 374 of Hammond, Indiana. John was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Lawrenceburg, Indiana. In addition to his parents John is preceded in death by his sons, Ronald Steven Myers in 1976, David Allen Myers in 2003 and John Willie Myers, Jr. in 2008; son-in-law, Kenneth Adkins in 1997; brothers, Charlie and Russell Myers; sisters, Margaret Anderson and twin infant sisters.

John is survived by his daughter, Susan Elaine Adkins of New Paris, Ohio; grandchildren, Michelle (Gabe) Washington, Jesse (Kira) Adkins, James (fiancé Krissie) Adkins and Jerry Adkins; 12 great grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at Mound Hill Union Cemetery with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, Eaton, OH.
