John W. Blevins, 57, of New Paris, OH died on Sunday, July 23, 2017. Born on October 6, 1959 in Wayne Co., IN, son of John Henry & Margaret Ann (Goins) Blevins. He was raised by grandfather, Bill Goins & stepfather, Eddie Swank. Self-employed, he was a truck driver for many years & drove for Primex in Richmond, IN. Member of the American Legion in New Paris, OH.

Preceded by mother, Margaret Ann Estep; father-in-law, James Andrew Wright, Sr.; sister, Penny Coyle; brother-in-law, George Schillinger and Bo Wright; son-in-law, Brian Morris.

Survived by his wife of 39yrs., Vickie Sue (Wright) Blevins; children, John William “Billy” (Lori) Blevins II, Felecia (Jason) Niswonger, Andrew Duane (Ashley) Blevins and Angela Morris; grandchildren, Dustin, Taylor (Skyler), Alexis (Billy), Tayden, Treyvn, Kaitlyn and Brian; great grandchildren, Lathen, Lakya and Kyrie; sisters, Cheryl (Larry) Henson and Bridget Gail Schillinger; brothers, Eddie “Bub” (Michelle) Swank and Brian (Tammy) Swank; uncle, Danny (Wanda) Goins; aunt, Pamela (Malcolm) Merkamp; mother-in-law, Bonnie Wright; brother-in-law, Kevin Wright; sister-in-law, Tammie Wright; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 28, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, OH. Family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 P.M. on Friday prior to the service.
