John J. Schwierking

JOHN J. SCHWIERKING, 90 of Eaton, OH, died Sunday morning March 18, 2012 at Heartland of Eaton. Born on November 20, 1921 in Brookville, Ohio he was the son of the late John W. & Inez D. (Brining) Schwierking. John was a graduate of New Madison High School and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in North Africa during W.W. II. Member of the American Legion Post 215 of Eaton and the Lewisburg First United Church of Christ. He worked for Omco Products in Springfield for over 20 years and worked for Suburban Motor Freight in Dayton for over 20 years. Preceded in death by sisters: Dovie Sargent in 1977, Gaynell Miller in 2006, Alberta Davis in 1995 and Wilma Schwierking in 2003; brother: Royal Schwierking in 1991.

Survived by his wife of 66 years: Sarah "Fran" (Hill) Schwierking of Eaton, OH; son & daughter-in-law: John J. & Debbie Schwierking of Eaton, OH and daughter & son-in-law: Claudia Sue (Colin) Castle of Springfield, OH; Grandchildren: Angella (Ron McMillin) Fulmer, Greg (Leslie) Phillips and Wes (Kris) Schwierking; great grandchildren: Taryn, Hunter and Carter Phillips, Henry & Clara Schwierking; Step Grandchildren, Joanie (Buddy) McDaniel, Brad & Adam Pittsinger; Step Great Grandchildren, Nate, Hayley, Paige & Kylee.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 24, 2012 in Otterbein Cemetery in Darke County, OH with Candy Null officiating. Military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
