John J. Idle

John J. Idle, 95, of Springboro, OH, died Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties. Born on July 17, 1917 in Wapakoneta, OH, he was the son of the late Vance B. & Beryl (Smith) Idle. John retired in 1977 as a truck driver for Commercial Motor in Dayton and was a member of Local 957 in Dayton. He was a W.W. II U.S. Army veteran. Preceded in death by Brothers: Bernard and Fred Idle.

Survivors include Wife of 68 years: Marilyn (Boldt) Idle; Daughter & Son-in-law: Billie Jean (Dale) Craig, Centerville, OH; Grandchildren: Julie Stevens and Nicole Kliest; Great Grandson: Caleb Kliest.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main St., Eaton, OH with Rev. Brian Nunnally officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton with military honors by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
