John C. Wright

John C. Wright, age 69, of Lewisburg, OH, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 in Dayton, OH. Born on November 1, 1947 in Marin County, CA, son of Leo & Lurah Maxine (Ellington) Wright. John attended Trinity University in Texas and the University of Hawaii. John was a dispatcher for the University of Dayton, Public Safety. He served as Chief of Police for Lewisburg, OH from 1992 to 2005 and served with the Miamisburg Police Department from 1971 to 1992. Member of the F.O.P.

Preceded in death by his Mother, Lurah Maxine (Ellington) Wright.

Survived by his Children, Sarah (Gene) Crawford, Scott Perry and Steven (Chelsea) Wright; Mother of Scott & Steven, Jean McEntarfer; Father, Leo (Marian) Wright; Sister, Suzie (Bennett Friedman) Wright; Grandchildren, Leo, Elizabeth and Olivia.

Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Friday, February 17, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce St., Lewisburg, OH. Family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. prior to service at the funeral home.
