Jimmie M. Scheiding

JIMMIE M. SCHEIDING, 78 of New Paris, Ohio died Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at Golden Living Center in Richmond, Indiana. Born on December 14, 1930 in Clay Township, Montgomery County, Ohio he was the son of the late Laverne Morris & Dola Fay (Lee) Scheiding. Jimmie was a mill operator for Beckett Elevator in New Paris and retired in 1995 following 28 years of service. He had the Jimmie Morris Combo Band and was a singer with the Midwest Jamboree in New Paris. He was a member of the Hodgin Road Christian Church in Richmond, Indiana. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Janice Gondos in 1980.

Jimmie is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda J. (Hosenfeld) Scheiding; son, Dennis Scheiding of New Paris, Ohio; daughters and sons-in-law, Diana & Larry Crye of New Paris, Linda & Greg Craig of Eaton, Lisa Moore of Port Clinton, Ohio and Holly & Rich Mikolainis of Mokena, Illinois; brothers, Roland Scheiding of Lewisburg, Ohio, Robert "Bob" Scheiding of New Paris and David Scheiding of Troy, Ohio; 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main Street, New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Derek Trenum officiating. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Friday, December 11, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
