Jim A. Deaton

Jim A. Deaton, age 76 of Lewisburg, OH, died Wed., March 14, 2012. Born on August 8, 1935 in Preble Co., OH, son of the late Willie Preston & Mary Alice (Peters) Deaton. Jim graduated in 1953 from Monroe High School in Preble County, Ohio, attended St. Clair Community College in Dayton and Missouri Auctioneers School. Retired in 1995 after 35 years as a Machinist at Dana Corp in Richmond, IN. Member of the Lewisburg Historical Society. Member of the New Castle Catholic Church in Indiana. Preceded by his wife, Sandra "Kay" Deaton in 1997.

Survived by his children, Daniel (Pamela) Deaton of Xenia, OH, Sandra "Sandy Jo" Deaton of Dayton, OH, James (Lynn) Deaton of New Vienna, OH, Don (Gigi) Deaton of Ft. Myers, FL and Eric (Dianna) Deaton of New Lebanon, OH; sister, June (Bruce) Newsome of Brookville, OH; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; best friend, Cathy Breckler of Indiana.

Funeral Service will be at held at 10:00 am, Monday, March 19, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating.
