Jessie L. Steele

Jessie L. Steele, age 96 of New Paris, Ohio, died Friday, October 20, 2006 at Heartland of Eaton after an extended illness. Born on October 12, 1910 in Richmond, IN she was the daughter of the late Richard E. & Maude (Frye) Caldwell. Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years: Ralph D. Steele in July 1992; Son: Richard L. Steele in 1962; Brothers: Floyd Caldwell, Earl Caldwell, Orie Caldwell, Marion Caldwell and Myron Caldwell.

Survivors include three daughters: Opal Ann Parks of New Paris, OH; Pat Davis and Linda Tangeman both of Richmond, IN.; Son: Lowell “Toad” Steele of New Paris, OH. 14 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, Ohio with Rev. Brett Karanovich officiating. Interment will be held in Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Tuesday October 24, 2006 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
