Jeffrey (Bogey) Stubblefield

Jeffrey “Bogey” Stubblefield age 50 of Lewisburg, OH died suddenly Sunday morning, April 11, 2010 in Eaton, OH. Born on March 8, 1960 in Xenia, OH he was the son of the late John & Oma J. (Ray) Stubblefield. Bogey was a 1978 Twin Valley North graduate and played football, basketball and baseball. In 1982 he graduated with a BA Degree in Education from Earlham College and played on the football and baseball teams. In 2009 the 1977 Twin Valley North football team was appointed to the Preble County Hall of Fame that he played on as the quarterback. He wrote several articles for the Lewisburg Northern Express and was a friend to all he met. Preceded in death by great niece Addison Markley in 2009.

Survivors include his very special friend: Teresa H. Wombold; Sister & Brother-In-Law: Linda Y & Randy Taylor of Lewisburg, OH; Twin Brother & Sister-In-Law: Gregory K. “Peck” & Jacqueline E. Stubblefield of Lewisburg, OH. Nieces and nephews: Lee Ann & Ashley Markley, Amber Nicole & Ryan Kearney, Matthew & Sara Taylor, Patrick Taylor, John K. Stubblefield, Timothy W. Stubblefield, Tara & Clayton Wombold, John and Tyler Wombold; Great Nieces and nephews: Levi, Ashton, Elijah, Ethan, Olivia and Logan; many aunts, uncles and several cousins.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Barnes Funeral Home – 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, OH. with Rev. Justin Wiegand officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Lewisburg, OH. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
