Jamie Ray Howell

Jamie Ray Howell, age 38, of Gratis, OH, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at his residence. Born on December 13, 1973 in Alvin, TX, he was the son of Everett Ray & Jeanette (Mitchell) Howell, Jr. Jamie was a 1992 graduate of Preble Shawnee and the JVS, police academy. He had worked as a Mill Operator for Middletown Tube Works in Middletown, OH. Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 4289 in Gratis, OH and the United Steelworkers Union. Jamie was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Reds Fan and was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

Preceded in death by his father, Everett Ray Howell, Jr. in 1974; paternal grandfather, Everett Ray Howell, Sr. in 1972; paternal grandmother, Nellie (Newton) Howell in 1995; maternal grandfathers, James Mitchell in 1968 and Leroy Stubbs in 1998; step grandparents, Ray Bates & Francis Ida (Nunn) Bates; uncle, Marty Mitchell in 2003.

Survived by his maternal grandmother, Bessie Stubbs of Somerville, OH; mother & step father, Jeanette & Kenny Bates of Camden, OH; girlfriend, Angela Rolke of Gratis, OH; children, Katie, Bill, Kayla and Ryan; sisters, Sindy and Mindy Bates both of Camden, OH; brothers, Josh (Jennifer) Howell of Fairhaven, OH and Fred Bates of Camden, OH; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Nein Barnes Funeral Home, 249 North Main St., Camden, OH 45311. Interment will be in Somerville Cemetery in Somerville, OH.
