James W. Patrick

JAMES W. PATRICK, JR., age 79, formerly of New Paris, Ohio, died Sunday, February 4, 2007 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton, Ohio. Born on February 18, 1927 in Prestonburg, Floyd County, Kentucky he was the son of the late James W. & Gertrude (Grithifft) Patrick. James was a U.S. Army WWII veteran, member of Clarence Teaford American Legion Post 360 in New Paris, Ohio, member of the V.F.W. Post 1108 of Richmond, Indiana. In 1989 he retired from Parker-Hannifin after 14 years of service. Preceded in death by his 1st wife: Emma (Kidd) Patrick in 1999; brother: Jesse C. Patrick, Joe P. Patrick; sister: Rebecca Woods; great granddaughter: Melissa Plyley.

Survived by his 2nd wife: Jackie Patrick of Eaton, Ohio; son & daughter-in-law: James R. & Barbara Patrick of New Paris, Ohio; daughter & fiancé: Sondra Patrick & Norman Hall of Richmond, Indiana; grandchildren: James, Lisa, and Brian; great grandchildren: James, Geniva, Angela, Amber, Aaron, Ryan, and Grace.

Funeral service will be held on 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at Barnes Funeral Home - 109 West Main Street - New Paris, OH with Trevor Bridgeford and Myrel Ballinger officiating. Interment will be in Springlawn Cemetery - New Paris, OH with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
