James R. Neiswander, Jr.

James R. Neiswander, Jr. 73 of New Paris, Ohio died Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Brethren’s Home in Greenville, OH. Born on September 18, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio he was the son of the late James R. & Dorothy J. (Ertel) Neiswander, Sr.

Jim was a 1962 graduate of Monroe High School. He started his career at Dayton Tire & Rubber in 1963 and continued as a Bus Driver, Farmer, Truck Driver and retired from Harvestland in 2016. He was a faithful attendee and supporter of Eaton Church of The Brethren.

Survivors include his Wife of 53 years: Rosemary (Harbison) Neiswander; Daughters: Cynthia (Brian) Peck, Sandra (John) Bigham; and Judith (Norman) Fudge; 14 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Sister: Bonnie & (Jeff) Fannin of New Paris, OH. Preceded in death by Son: Robert C. "Bob" Neiswander in 2014.  

Family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Eaton Church of The Brethren 813 Camden Road Eaton, Ohio with Pastor Stan VanAusdal officiating. Interment will be in Monroe Cemetery – Eldorado, OH.
