James R. Bunger

JAMES R. BUNGER, 72, of Lewisburg, OH, died Friday, August 23, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born on April 7, 1941 in Preble County, Ohio son of the late Nevin T. and Grace M. (Leslie) Bunger. James was a truck driver from the time he was 16 years old having driven for Zumstein, Inc. in Lewisburg, Liberal Markets in Dayton, White Villa in West Carrollton, OH and Recycled Fibers in Moraine, OH where he retired in 2005.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, William, Don, Robert, Roland and Nevin T. Bunger and sisters, Evelyn F. Bunger, Helen G. Nuse and Patricia Nicholas.

James is survived by his son, James D. Bunger of Tucson, Arizona; daughters & sons-in-law, Kim & Joe Pitcox and Pam & Gary Burnside both of Lewisburg and Patsy Prestel of Arcanum, OH; sisters, Kathryn Flory of Brookville, OH, Betty (Dennis) Fitzwater of West Manchester, OH and Pauline Wilson of Clayton, OH; brother-in-law, Jack Nicholas of Dayton and his best canine friend, "Bo"; grandchildren, Brandi, Jacob, Cody, Cori and Hannah; great grandchildren, Peyton and Bailee; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH 45338.
