James Madison Gray, Jr.

James Madison "Matt" Gray, Jr., 83 of Camden, Ohio and formerly of West Palm Beach, Florida, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at his residence. Born on January 31, 1928 in Oxford, Ohio, he was the son of the late James Madison & Mary Jane Gray. Matt retired in 2007 after 50 years as Owner & Operator of Gray's Lawn Care in West Palm Beach, Florida. Matt proudly served in the US Army, 11th Airborne, 187th Regimental Combat Team, HQ Company stationed at Sapporo, Japan during World War II and the occupation of Japan.

Preceded by brothers, Danny Gray and Foister "Frosty" Gray; son-in-law, Rick Mondello; brother-in-law, Jim Laird; granddaughter, Lori Jo Gray.

Survivors include children & spouses, Barbara & Michael Lynskey of Trenton, Ohio, Robert & Judy Gray of Taylor, Michigan, Janice Mondello of Camden, Ohio, Michael & Debbie Gray of Camden, Ohio, and Donald & Andrea Gray of Farmersville, Ohio; sister, Verla Laird of Oxford, OH; brother & sister-in-law, Hubert & Amelia Gray; sister-in-law, Vera Lorine Gray of Mt. Dora, Florida; grandchildren, Brian Moore, Jeremy Lynskey, Jamie (Steve) Sheard, Leigh (Jamie) Mondello-Garrett, Ryan (Donna) Gray, Corey (Shonda) Gray, Amber (David) Saderson, Christopher Gray, Jason Gray; 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Nein – Barnes Funeral Home, 249 North Main Street, Camden, Ohio with Rev. Greg Jackson officiating. Interment will be held at Fairmount Cemetery in Camden, Ohio with military honors provided by the Preble Co. Honor Guard. Family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
