James Joseph Lewis

James Joseph Lewis, age 95, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 7, 2021 at his residence. He was born March 22, 1926 in Hamilton, Ohio and had been a resident of Indian River County.  James worked as a truck driver and for Piper Aircraft, Vero Beach.  He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, serving in both WW II and the Korean War.  James is survived by his daughter, Linda Hill of Vero Beach; sons, Mark of Wisconsin, and Richard of Sebastian; brothers, Larry Lewis of Richmond, Indiana, and Jerry Lewis of Oklahoma; sisters, Donna Jean Wyatt of Indiana, and Hazel Fortner of Richmond; 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  James was predeceased by his wife, Audrey, son, Danny and daughter, Geneva.

Graveside Services will be held at 9:00 A.M., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Springlawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.  Arrangements in Ohio entrusted to Barnes Funeral Home, New Paris, Ohio.  Condolences via www.barnesfuneralhome.com
